Dublin is getting ready for a serious dose of sequins, nostalgia and dancefloor magic. In a standout moment for entertainment news Ireland, disco icon Gloria Gaynor has been confirmed as the headline act for Disco Fest 2027, a one-night-only live event that promises wall-to-wall anthems at the 3Arena.
The legendary singer, best known for timeless hits including I Will Survive, will lead a packed line-up celebrating the golden age of disco. For fans of live events, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest music news Ireland stories on the calendar, with several major acts set to join her for an unforgettable night in Dublin.
Disco Fest 2027 Brings Major Entertainment News Ireland Fans Will Love
Disco Fest 2027 is scheduled for Sunday, 11 April 2027, at Dublin’s 3Arena. The venue will be transformed for the occasion, with organisers planning a special “glitter zone” on the standing floor to fully lean into the disco spirit.
Alongside Gloria Gaynor, the bill includes:
- Kool & the Gang
- KC and the Sunshine Band
- The Weather Girls
That line-up alone makes this one of the more exciting entertainment updates Ireland audiences have seen this season. Fans can expect a hit-heavy setlist filled with songs that defined an era, from Celebration to It’s Raining Men.
Gloria Gaynor Calls It a One-Off Irish Performance
Adding even more buzz to the announcement, Gaynor revealed in a radio interview that the Dublin date will be a special standalone show. Speaking about the event, she described it as a rare return to the disco format and suggested audiences should treat it as a unique occasion.
She also shared a light-hearted update on her dancefloor stamina, joking that while she can still move, the years have naturally taken a little edge off the footwork. That honesty only adds to the charm around an artist who remains beloved across generations.
For followers of Irish entertainment news and wider pop culture Ireland coverage, the quote underlines why this event already feels bigger than a standard tour stop. It is being framed as a celebration, not just a concert.
Why Disco Fest Could Be One of Dublin’s Hottest Live Tickets
This announcement lands at a time when audiences are showing renewed appetite for nostalgia-led live shows. From reunion tours to themed festival nights, fans are increasingly looking for experiences that combine big songs, crowd energy and a strong sense of occasion.
Disco Fest 2027 appears built for exactly that, offering:
- A legendary headliner with global name recognition
- A stacked support line-up of disco and funk favourites
- A themed arena setup designed for immersive fun
- A rare Irish date with added exclusivity
It also marks a milestone for KC and the Sunshine Band, whose Dublin appearance will be their first ever Irish performance. That detail alone gives the show extra weight for fans following concert news Ireland and major live entertainment announcements.
