Family milestones often make the biggest headlines, and this weekend Una Healy had every reason to celebrate. In a heartwarming moment from entertainment news Ireland, the singer shared her pride after her son Tadhg led his team to victory in the Mid Tipperary Football U12 G1 Shield Final.
While Una marked her own birthday, it was her son who stole the show. The Tipperary star watched from the sidelines as Tadhg captained Durlas Og to an impressive win, later posing with him for a proud post-match snap that quickly drew warm reactions online.

Adding to the buzz, Tadhg was also filmed delivering a speech to his teammates after the match, a moment that underlined his leadership as well as the team spirit behind the win.
A talented family making waves beyond entertainment news Ireland
Tadhg’s sporting success has not come out of nowhere. With former rugby international Ben Foden as his father, there is clearly strong athletic pedigree in the family. Still, this was very much Tadhg’s moment, and one Una appeared delighted to celebrate publicly.
He is not the only young star in the household either. Earlier this year, Una’s daughter Aoife Belle stepped into the acting world, appearing alongside her mum in Testimony, an RTÉ documentary drama focused on the Magdalene Laundries.
The project revealed another side of the family story and added depth to Una’s growing profile across celebrity news Ireland and TV news Ireland. Mother and daughter took on roles in a serious production that blended real-life testimony with dramatic reenactment, with acclaimed actress Imelda Staunton serving as narrator.
Why this family update is resonating
Part of the appeal is its authenticity. In an era dominated by polished celebrity posts, Una’s update felt refreshingly grounded. It combined local pride, family support and a genuine milestone for a young player enjoying a standout day on the pitch.
For readers following latest entertainment news Ireland, stories like this balance the red carpet headlines with moments that feel close to home. They also reflect why Una remains such a relatable figure in Irish celebrity news and wider pop culture Ireland.
More than a celebrity moment
This was not just a social media photo opportunity. It was a snapshot of a family full of ambition, with talent showing up in different ways — from music and television to acting and sport. That blend of public success and private pride is exactly why the story has captured attention.
As far as entertainment news Ireland goes, this one lands because it feels real: a mother celebrating her son, a team enjoying hard-earned success, and a family whose next generation is already making an impression.
With Tadhg shining on the football field and Aoife Belle building early screen experience, Una Healy’s home is clearly full of rising stars. And for anyone keeping up with entertainment news Ireland, this proud-mam moment is a reminder that some of the best stories are the most personal.
